Fred Alleyne, owner of Soft Surfaces Maintenance Services of Scarborough Ontario, has recently passed the IICRC designation of Water Restoration Technician.

“The course was great!”, explains Alleyne, “we learned about many different drying techniques, inspection routines, psychrometry, and drying equipment.”

The Water Restoration Technician Designation is awarded to individuals who have attended a rigorous 3 day hands-on training school, which includes 24 hours of classroom study and testing. The course was held in Wayne Michigan.

The course instructor was Barry Costa who is a world-renowned drying expert with over 15 years of practical and classroom instruction.

“The benefit of becoming a Water Restoration Technician to the flood victim is huge”, says Alleyne. ” In such an unfortunate circumstance as a flood, basement water intrusion, broken pipe, or sewage backup, we have full confidence in our training that will return the flood victim’s home, business and property to pre-loss condition within just a few days!”
